Bougainvillea House
Bougainvillea is everywhere in my country! It thrives in our harsh climate and the hot desert sun- the hotter the better. It’s sharp thorns say ‘ Keep Off ‘, but It’s masses of red and pink fluttering, feathery flowers say ‘Look at me !‘ It is a survivor-my mother called it a pest-the more she chopped it back the stronger it grew in our courtyard. I love it ..... it’s bright amazing foliage make me think of joy and exuberance of spirit. I still have it in my house today.
